We have had a massive amount of snow here in the CA Sierras and family in Montana has as well. Massive here means snow up to the roof line and higher.

Snow melts and with upwards of 100 ft of snow in areas the water from the melt has to go somewhere. So creeks, rivers have started running higher and faster than we have seen in over a decade.

Will be great for kayaking and white water rafting, but its the low lands that will flood I worry about. So stay safe.....

Beth- yes there is a lot of flooding happening right now. So far the damage has been mostly structural but the red cross does have a shelter set up at one of the local churches.
