I was lucky enough this past winter to spend some time in St. Agatha, Maine. It is between Madawaska and Fort Kent . I just got my photo cd back and had to share some pictures. This is why, though I am a Jersey girl, some of my heart is in Maine!

I'll have to ask my brother if he knows them. It's a small town and I think they meet someone new every day.
It's on a different forum but Elaine, I couldn't agree with you more-nothing beats a Jersey tomato. How I miss them. As a kid we would go to see my grandmother who lived just outside Cape May and she'd spread newspapers on the picnic table and we'd have fresh shrimp, fish, corn on the cob and tomatoes-all local. It was SOO good. Great memories. To this day, this is what I mean by the best summer meal. Wish I had a tomato right now. Joey

Thanks for the great pics. Raised up north and hating the cold/snow and moved to Florida and I love the warm temps and sunshine we seem to have here almost every day. My brother and SIL hate the warmth. They moved to Machias, ME a year ago and they LOVE it there. We're going up for a wedding in August-I mean, who doesn't love Maine in the summer? Love hearing about it but don't need to be there. Joey

Hi Elaine!

I love Maine too - I've vacationed there for many years and still go for a few days every fall with my mother. I grew up in Vermont, so it wasn't that long a trip to get there. Thanks for the beautiful pictures!
