UGH! I am stuck in Clarksville KY. I came down to spend Super Bowl weekend with him before he deploys(Yeah Packers!)and to bring his high performance GTO home for the year while he serves in Afghanistan. Well need less to say the car and snow do not mix well. So I am hold up in a hotel. It's not like I am afraid of driving in the snow, as last week we got 20 inches in Wisconsin where I live but we have to equipment to handle it. Anyone have any idea how long the snow will last? How fast the roads will clear up? I love Kentucky but I want to go home! I promise to come back in the Spring or Summer or Next January (but I will fly or drive my own car.

Hello,
I did get out on Feb 8th, Tuesday morning. But I think they all thought I was crazy when I asked if they would be salting the parking lot that was sheer ice. I made it home in 9.5 hours. I do now know that I do not need a hot rod, sports, drag, car for a mid-life crisis car. Had to get off the hwy in Lindenwood, ILL for 7 miles because of an accident. The worst seven miles of my life. Could barely get it into 1st gear to move forward and bumper to bumper traffic and semi's. But I got home safe and the hot rod is in Storage for the next year until my son returns.

Hi, Betty Jo. I'm in Louisville today, and we don't have any snow on the ground. Where is Clarksville? I'm not familiar with it. We heard from a woman near Shelbyville yesterday and they had a couple of inches, I think. She coulnd't make it here. Usually, the state roads get plowed. it's the back roads that can be a problem. I'm so sorry you're stuck. We've not had as much snow as most areas across the country, but we seem to get some bad weather every other day. I think we'll all be glad to see spring this year.

Sorry to hear that you are stuck. Clarksville is not that bad in warmer weather. I have family in the area. I agree about areas that don;t know how to deal with the snow. I lived outside of Cleveland when I learned how to drive a car in November. Here in GA everything comes to a halt with a little bit of snow.....Give a thanks and hug to your Army fellow! Barbara

Don't forget to laugh!
