DH and I have been on vacation. We've both been battling colds, and he had some teeth pulled on Monday. So, to say that we haven't been up to going out and shoveling our driveway is an understatement.
Soooo.....this morning we hear something outside and go to the window to have a look see. Low and behold, there is this guy in a pickup with a plow on it plowing our driveway! DH hurried and went outside to thank him. Found out he is the one who farms the fields all around us. He told DH that he'd noticed that we hadn't moved our vehicles in a few days and thought we were sick or something, so he did the neighborly thing and helped us out.
Now, how sweet is that? And the saying is so true how country people really DO look out for one another. I'm humbled!

Karen, that's so nice of him. I wish I had neighbors like that. Mine don't even hardly wave. I hope y'all get better soon and are able to get out of the house. You should go to the Gathered up section. There's a thread about nice things that happen to you. This would fit great there too. Have a great day!
