Houston, TX area

It's crazy....we're 78 degrees today and no rain for a while.

Do you know that I don't even own a heavy coat? I can get by with a light jacket. We rarely stay at 32 degrees for very long.

I've never known anything else....so, I guess I don't really know what I'm missing. But, it sure feels like it's supposed to be cold at Christmas.

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."

Catherine,

I hear that! I am about 3 hours to the north of ya. Now, it gets a little colder here, but usually not for long. I was excited earlier this year when we got TWO snows! It was awesome, and it never usually lasts. I am ready for some rain, though. It's getting dry again, and it's been windy around here. Tomorrow is watering day, so...

It is a buns biter here in Vermont. In the teens and steady. I like to think of it as killing those nasty things that like to live in warm weather and think migrating north might be fun, like chiggers, ticks and poisonous snakes. None live up here. Can't make it through the winter. Lucky for us we have a little snow for the children to play on and hoping to get dumped on soon. Did you know that if it is too cold it won't snow? So, we hope for snow. My ideal winter would be 8 to 10 feet of snow over the course of the winter with temperatures in the teens or twenties.
For all you warm weather people, snow compacts and melts alittle over the days to the snow is never more than 5 or so feet at any given time if we have enough to accumulate.

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!
