Since my car is out of commission for the time being, I've been doing a lot of walking, and this evening I decided to walk to the convenience store about a mile from my house. the clouds were threatening but I didn't worry--so what if it rained a little? Well, I got to the store, bought a few items, and as I was leaving, it started to sprinkle. It felt good, a nice cooling sensation. then it started raining harder--a lot harder.I haven't been out in a good soaking rain in a long time, and i have to say, it felt good to get soaked to the skin. There's something purifying about getting drenched, and afterwards the sun came back out and the birds were singing. It reminded me of being a kid and getting caught in a shower. My neighbors probably though I was crazy to let myself get soaked like that, but I enjoyed it. I felt like all the day's cares were washed away by the rain. Just thought I'd share.

I'm laughing at your neighbors. They sure are missing a lot in life. Continue to sing in the rain, and garden in the rain. LOL.

I'd have to say our neighbors have definite confirmation that I'm crazy. They were watching me out the window last week as I planted potatoes and carrots in the rain. They even asked my husband if we were fighting or something because I was 'out there getting soaked'! I thought it was fun. It was 76* and the rain was so cooling in the heat it made the job wonderful. I did have to be sprayed off with the hose afterward, but my 10 y/o thought that was the most fun in the world, gettin to spray mommy! I'm the 'crazy neighbor lady' around here, so I welcome you to the club my friend! LOL!
