Snow, snow and more snow!!!

It has been a long time since we have seen this much!!! It started Monday night, let up on Tuesday. Since then it has been mostly snowing . . . still coming down!!!!

Yesterday mid-day there was 24 inches on our deck between the back door and the patio table and that is on the east side of the house. More now . . .

In the woods and shady areas, north sides, etc. ???? Well, that's a different story.

Just pray that our power company can keep our electricity on and folks will stay home if they can and those who can't will be safe!!!

Trying to keep our noses above snow . . .

We live about 5 miles north of one town and 5 miles south of another . . . in the country. This is keeping EVERYBODY busy moving snow, plowing out driveways, making their way to feed livestock, etc. When I got home from work tonight I laughed at the huge piles all around and this little snow-scoop-sized path through it all up to the door. We got a big "dump" the first part of December, with lots along the way. And, just as I was able to see the deck again . . .
We are warm and safe . . . so far, so good. But I hear there's more predicted tomorrow . . . and again Tues/Weds. . . and again next week . . .
Gotta get my cross-country skiis out!!!
I guess I won't be mowing the lawn anytime soon . . . :)

Last week, Louisiana had temperatures down in the 18-18-19 degrees, three or four days in a row. I thought I'd never make it through that. LOL. We don't experience those kind of temps too often. But, all that snow you mentioned, Lord! I'd be crying. I hope you are keeping warm. And, yes, please keep your nose above all that white stuff. LOL. Today, SW Louisiana's temperature was 75 degrees. I mowed the entire yard in shorts and a t-shirt. It was just heavenly.
