Posted - Jan 03 2010 : 5:53:28 PM I just read a special weather statement from the weather channel saying that it could get down to SINGLE DIGITS at night here in Houston on Wednesday - Saturday. What on earth?! It's going to get super cold here for us. This must be a record.
Someone please explain to me how that means global warming!

Posted - Jan 03 2010 : 8:58:38 PM Global warming leads to unusual and unpredictable weather, more storms and they can be more severe. By the way our early morning temp here was 28 below.

Posted - Jan 03 2010 : 8:49:43 PM Hey, for Houston Single digits is very cold. We just aren't use to it. Thought I would freeze the first year I lived in Alaska after moving there from Houston. We went riding today and I got so cold I was almost sick. It is all about what you are use to. I love the cold but my old body just doesn't tolerate it as well as it use to.

Posted - Jan 03 2010 : 6:10:06 PM LOL!!!!! Karrieann, I am not trying to get political here by any means, I am just stating the obvious! All I hear lately is that everyone is FREEZING to death ! Even in California! (Well, what is cold for them ..lol)
Well, I have family from Pennsylvania so maybe it will run in the blood. But this is still just crazy! lol
It's driving my joints crazy though!

Posted - Jan 03 2010 : 6:04:16 PM I know what you mean, Brooke, I have a friend that lives in Spring and back at Christmas when it got cold she had to buy a space heater because she has not turned her heater on in 7 years.
It is supposed to get cold here to. Maybe we need lessons from our sisters up north.
