Posted - Dec 08 2009 : 10:13:34 AM Well dear farm girls, It is snowing to beat the band and -5 right now and we are supposed to get up to a foot by end of this evening with 40 mile per hour winds. I do hope my electricity stays on. Both hubby and I are home since there was no school today. So we have been baking cookies...and having some tea. Hope you are staying warm today.

Posted - Dec 09 2009 : 07:15:43 AM Our electricity stayed on!!! Our neighbor plowed out our drive!!! The road is clear so we could get out if necessary!!!! We have a LOT of snow piled up out there!!! And it is COLD, COLD, COLD!!! Sounds like COLD is the theme for most of the entire nation!!!
Cloudcroft, New Mexico got winds up to 100 mph on Monday night . . .as well as snow. There were trees down and roofs blown off and LOTS of damage!!!!
This morning I see the sun . . . and LOTS of snow!!! :) CJ

Posted - Dec 08 2009 : 3:17:04 PM No snow here thank God but cold. It was -7 below this morning and the high for today around 12. Hope your power stays on. We had a couple of bumps in the night as well but so far so good. We are supposed to get snow this weekend. I am so glad the wind finally quit - we had 40 mph on Sunday which made it a real bear to feed as it was a northeast wind that blows straight into the barn so the hay was blowing back in my face as I was putting it into the feeders. Keep warm everyone!!
Blessings, Sheri

Posted - Dec 08 2009 : 11:59:46 AM Hey Tammy, See my post "Colorado!! Getting Slammed!" The sun is coming out now, but we have over a foot of snow!!! Been out trying to shovel some of it and get to the road, which has been plowed. Had to FIND our vehicles and dig them out. Our neighbor is going to try to come and plow out our drive. A LOT OF SNOW TO DO SOMETHING WITH!!!! Hunker down . . . . I was thinking the same thing this morning about the electricity. It had spiked off and right back on in the night some time. KEEP WARM!! CJ

Posted - Dec 08 2009 : 10:40:48 AM Tammy: I really don't know what I'd do in late much snow. LOL Here in Louisiana snow is very rare. -5, my goodness. I'd be home bound!!!! It is scarey to think of that much cold and snow. Enjoy the tea with Hubby, and keep warm. Marly
