It's not much but we got our first dusting of snow last night. Of course the kids are all excited and were really hoping that school would be delayed. I'm like "Really? You expect a delay for that little bit?"

The kiddos had a little time after breakfast and before school to play for a bit. It was the best kind of snow- wet and sticky. Matthew made a killer snowball. Good thing he has bad aim or Hallie ducked cause it made an awful THUD when it hit the house (and most of the snowball stuck to the house.) All the snow disappeared a few hours later. But I hear there's a snow storm brewing out west that could possibly come straight for us. We'll just have to wait and see. We usually don't see anything serious until January, but it was just a few years ago we got about 2 feet just after Christmas.

I love the snow we had probably 3inches last night and 6-12 predicted for tomorrow, as long as my kids are all safe at home I hate when they are out driving in it.

We had flurries Saturday night. Hubby had gone out for an after-dinner walk and I was washing pots in the sink. The phone rang and it was him telling me that he was up around the bend and it was snowing. While I was still on the phone with him, I walked outside and saw the snow falling by the motion light above the garage doors and lifted my hand to touch the flakes. I was in heaven! I love snow!

When I went back inside, I told the kids that it was snowing and my oldest goes, "Maybe we can sled tomorrow!" Silly kid... he doesn't understand the ins and outs of snow. It certainly didn't last long and it melted overnight, but I was loving it while it lasted!

We got it here, too, Melanie, in Northern Kentucky. School wasn't delayed, but it took me an HOUR to get into work when it would normally take me 15 minutes. Ridiculous!!!!
