Posted - Dec 05 2009 : 09:10:16 AM That happened here too! People were in the stores stocking up like they would be snowed in their homes for weeks. I'm sure the stores loved it! Today is cold but sunny...beautiful!

Posted - Dec 05 2009 : 07:48:45 AM Isn't that the funniest thing? We don't get alot of snow here but when the weather guys see even the tiniest hint they start blasting it all over the local channels. Then everyone panics and thinks we're going to get "THE BIG ONE" again and they'll get snow bound and rush out to the stores to buy milk, eggs and bread. Then we won't get a thing here. It' so funny. One day I'm sure it will happen again. I think I'll be ready for it. Last time the power was out for about 10 days but it was cold enuf that we didn't lose any food in the freezer. We left milk outside, too.

Posted - Dec 04 2009 : 12:50:33 PM Caron: I am anxiously awaiting the white flakes!!! I won't believe it until I see it. Have y'all got any snow yet? Keep warm. I'm in the process of bringing out six fleece blankets that I warmed in the dryer for my outside cats. They will stay in the outside workshop. We have a heater in there for them. Keep me posted. Stay warm!!!!! Marly
