Fall is definately here Terri. the trees are starting to turn and the nights are chilly-----But the days are still hot. What the heck is going on. I posted a couple of pictures on my smallcityscenes blog. MB

Morgan and Lainey - I'm with you guys, there is nothing like a cool night, dark sky and a fire in the firepit. We build a pit in back of one of our barns near the house and it is usually in use every night! We listen to the cows and goats settling down for the night. The chickens usually are running into their coops for the night and all trying to find their roosting space, the turkeys head to their coop and even our guardian dogs settle in for the night - on watch for anything that tries to come in their space.....nice and peaceful.

Morgan, I'm with you! That smell is wonderful and my hubby and I love to sit around the firepit in the fall. I love it when it's warm enough to just wear long sleeves but not quite cold enough for a jacket or coat. But then again I love to sit outside when it's nippy out as well.

Oh how I love sweater-weather!!!! It's time to move my winter clothes back into the closet, store the summer clothes... I love this time of year! I have some seasoned wood ready to go for the fireplace. My favorite part? Sitting outside, cuddled up around the firepit, drinking a glass of wine and chatting with friends... How about that smell on your clothes after you have been around a fire? This is wonderful stuff!
