Posted - Jul 23 2009 : 5:35:41 PM We had a regular "thunderboomer" of a rain shower today. Short-intense, but SWEET.
Thank the Lord! As it has been almost 2-months since we have had any rain. I just sat in my little garden shed with my feet peeking out and listened and prayed in gratitude....

Posted - Jul 24 2009 : 05:51:12 AM It finally rained in East Texas this week. I just stood outside and watched it come down. Almost started to cry. We are in such a drought right now that all of the local counties are having to inact burn bans. Last weekend, we had a fire start on the tree farm next to our farm. Luckily the volunteer fire department responded very quickly and was able to contain it before any real damage was done. The grass is so dry it just cracks under your feet. The weatherman says we should get more rain next week. I'm praying.
Begin each morning with a song in your heart. |
