The whole month of July has been triple digits for us. Today is supposed to get over 113. We're eyeballing our dying birch trees as firewood for the winter....
We're leaving for the Oregon coast later this week, thank GOD. I feel like I can't breath anymore!

We are headed for triple digits for the next three days. We have not had any real measurable rain since around the 4th - a bit too dry here. Now the heat.

Kris - sounds like your neighbor has a swamp maple in their yard. When we first moved to south carolina 20 years ago, I was so freaked out when the leaves started to turn on our swamp maples, that I went over to the area natural wildlife services office to ask what to do. The wildlife officer nearly laughed when I told him what i was seeing in our yard.

The heat tho, does make the swamp maples drop their leaves a little earlier in the summer than they normally do, but still, just the fact that they loose their leaves so darn early still freaks me out.

We have the humidity today too, and it finally rained this afternoon after we went to Roses to get a couple odds and ends. Sara, naturally, went and hid during the thunder..talk about spoiled!! I'm not sure if we'll get the triple digit heat this week or not. Right now with this humidity I feel like wringing my skin out...

Lauri, my dog is allergic to the heat. If it's over 80 he's inside. And he's a lab. Spoiled dog.

It's hot today here and humid. It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have the humidity all the time. That makes it hard.

I went past a friends house up the road and her front yard looks like it's fall. It already needs raked. Leaves all over the place. Weird.

Wow -- it's been really weird temperature wise here..much cooler than normal, like in the low to mid 80's...it's freaking me out, an' I'm scared to look at the weather forecast.

The Weather Person sez it's going to get hot here tomorrow..92 or so, but that remains to be seen. I'm so wondering what the fall is going to bring..But we did have some sweltering heat about 2 weeks ago, so go figure!!

The dog likes the cooler weather tho, and right now is outside under the deck, soakin' up the mud..thats going to be one smelly mutt!! Ugh...

Oh my gosh! It has been so hot here I am avoiding looking at actual temps. I can pretend it is a nice balmy 70 degrees if I don't know better LOL

Ouch, ya'll! I want to live in Alaska. I do not like it above 85. I don't know what the temp here was today but every time I went out I was drenched in sweat. Yuck. I'm going to shower now.

Now that is hot! We are having weather that is just the opposite. Cooler and wetter than usual. Gee...I would like to be able to send it your way.

Hope you get some relief very soon,
