Posted - Jun 25 2009 : 07:17:40 AM It is already 89 right now, at 9 in the morning. It is going up to 107 with a heat index of 114. Time to put on a little tanning lotion, fill up my water bottle and hang out in the hammock all day.

Posted - Jun 25 2009 : 06:22:55 AM It's been 90 and up here, but they "say" it's going to cool down with a storm that's due in tonight and will stay through tomorrow. 80's for the weekend. That's alright with me!

Posted - Jun 25 2009 : 06:17:31 AM Last Sun and Mon it was like 45 degrees then yesterday it was 85 or 90, for once I would like to ease into summer instead of being thrown headfirst into it! Annika I don't have plum trees, but I have a hammock under the fir trees, come on up and we can watch each other and have a good laugh when we try to get out of it, lol.

Posted - Jun 24 2009 : 5:57:48 PM Summer has arrived right on time here in IL. It's been in the 90's here since Sunday and the humidity is nearly there too. Too hot and nasty to do anything outside. I can't wait for a cool front to clear this out of here. Unfortunately they aren't calling for one for the next 10 days. YUK!

Posted - Jun 24 2009 : 4:56:31 PM I don't actually know if my thermometer is accurate. I think it is really in the upper 80's today, but it is still plenty warm for chasing livestock! And now I need a big ol' hammock to tie under the plum trees.. =)

Posted - Jun 24 2009 : 4:40:51 PM Today it got up to 102 degrees. Hot, hot, hot. However, this afternoon, as of 6ish, it doesn't feel so hot. But, it sure is muggy. I put a fan outside in my carport for my five outside cats. They are loving it. Annika, thanks for all the wonderful posts. I look forward to checking out what you are posting. Have a cooler day tomorrow. Marly
