I need RAIN!!!
In this area (about 30 minutes west of Albany, NY) we haven't had a good rain in weeks. The weather station here just said that we are about 4 1/2 inches below where we should be. Everything just seems to go south or north of us.

We transplanted about 30 saplings a few weeks ago, so we've been hauling buckets of water to them with the tractor, and already put the soaker hoses in the veggie garden In our organic garden at school, we've had to go out and hand water every day.

It's just unusual for us to be this dry this early. So much for our April showers.

Maybe I'll go do a rain dance.....

I am so tired of no rain to speak of, I have been watering since march, and the non-stop hot dry wind 24/7 is killer. Does anyone know a good dance and chant for stopping the wind along with a rain dance, LOL?

It's very hot here today.....it's 6;30pm and still 82'. It's so dry here the Palm Trees around town are starting to look brown and dry...I've never noticed them like this....This will be my 5th year this summer! I pulled up my dry tomatoe plants today, and threw out the dried up plants and left over tomatoes on them to the birds today! The Cardinals love them! my poor little herb box is looking a little dry...and neglected...I better get it in ship shape if I'm going to be a Farmgirl!
