Posted - Apr 26 2009 : 3:32:13 PM Go figure, I thought I would take advantage of todays wee bit of sunshine & lite winds,,,,so I washed several loads, hung them on the clothes line & smiled & said to myself,,,"awe, it feels good to be a country girl"....ok, so that was short lived, about 40 min later I heard thunder, looked out the window up toward the pines & saw ominous black rain clouds & decided to not chance it, so I grabbed the laundry basket & brought in all my 1/2 damp clothes which are now hanging all over my laundry room...oh well at least I didn't wash the windows or car today! lol!, thou I did go out & pull some weeds & watered my Tulips..

Posted - Apr 27 2009 : 9:33:02 PM Well, according to the Weather Reporters we were suppose to have rain today & tomorrow, so far all we got (in my neck of the woods) was a few minutes of rain...guess i'll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow, but we could use a bit more rain, as long as it dosen't rain on Wednesday,,,I have a full day planned. >^..^<

Posted - Apr 27 2009 : 7:23:58 PM We are supposed to have rain the rest of the week. I wish I had planted more. But only like 30% chance. We do need it, though.
And I have had my Trooper for about 2 years now and have never washed the poor thing. It's white, too. So doesn't reall y look too bad. I just hate to waste the water on it.
Hope you get a nice pretty week way out there in Washington. It sure is a nice place there.

Posted - Apr 27 2009 : 6:06:37 PM We are getting another monsoon here in the Chicago area. It has been one wet year so far. I sure hope we are not in for a drought in the summer! The grass is a beautiful green and the perennials are thriving!

Posted - Apr 27 2009 : 1:52:44 PM >> Rain always comes right after I give the garden and all the flower beds a great big giant soaking <<
I don't wash my station wagon anymore...last time I did, it rained for an afternoon, night and half the next day. something like 4 inches. And of course, there was tons of thunder and lightening, so the dog was beside herself.
We're supossed to have rain wednesday, so I'm not getting near a hose to water anything, let alone wash my station wagon!!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today. St. Augustine

Posted - Apr 27 2009 : 05:44:36 AM I know exactly what you mean, Grace. I just walked out the back door, after being outside admiring the beautiful blue sky and sunshine in the front, to hang some pants. And there are some fierce looking black clouds rolling over Lookout Mt. from the West. Must be some of yours? We do need some rain right now, though. So I just hung them on the backs of chairs for now.
It has cooled off some, which is great. It's been in the high 80's here the past few days.
How's it looking today way out there?
