Posted - Mar 29 2009 : 06:09:18 AM We had tornado warnings and watches all around us last night. It was pretty intense. I had all the candles and flashlights ready just in case. It was so warm, too. But it got real still for awhile and then the lightening way over to the north toward Chatt. Then the rumbling thunder. It never came over the house, though. Then the rain started again. Then stopped. I went on upstaires to go to bed and the wind started blowing something fierce. For about an hour. Scared me to death. I thought the roof would be blown off.
But all is well this morning here. No trees down. All the animals are still here. I have not heard a thing about Alabama yet.
How did all you South GA. girls do last night? I hope you all did not have any of the tornadoes down there.

Posted - Mar 30 2009 : 07:37:32 AM Didn't Kentucky get some tornadoes? Seems like I heard that on the news. I sure hope no one was hurt. Cindy, I'm glad your parents are ok. They spent the night at Walmart? And I am glad they went away from you, Gena.
It's a beautiful sunny day today! I am washing clothes to hang out on the line while the sun is shining. It's supposed to start raining again tomorrow. Ughh.

Posted - Mar 29 2009 : 10:13:52 PM Kris, glad everything worked out and you didn't get the tornado. My parents in KY had warning last night too and spent the night at the 24hr Walmart. That's their safe place to go since they live in mobile home.

Posted - Mar 29 2009 : 06:56:35 AM Good Morning Kristin! Well, we had rain like crazy yesterday, but it slacked off by evening. But the wind kicked in around 2am. I just prayed the trees were strong and well rooted! The Yellow River is in our back yard and it is swollen over the banks. I heard that Conyer's is having problems with our river downstream. They get their drinking water from this river. Well, there is PLENTY of water today! Glad you all skipped the weather drama last night! Now I hear it will get cold. Ah, don't you just love spring?
