Posted - Jan 23 2009 : 04:38:00 AM Yesterday the temperature started plummeting back to winter levels, and snow started falling (and worse- sticking!). We have had a good week of 40-55 degree weather up here in Billings. As I write this the temperature outside is a brisk 7 degrees and it is SNOWING!

Posted - Jan 24 2009 : 11:38:28 AM I think mother nature is having hormone problems maybe hot flashes? She can't quite figure out what season it should be. As I am writing this post the weather outside is downright bleak. Overcast and cold, downright cold maybe a balmy 3 degrees. Oh how I wish for sunny warm days. They can't come to soon.

Posted - Jan 24 2009 : 08:22:18 AM I just wish Georgia would make up it's mind! It will be 41 degrees as a high this week and THE NEXT DAY it will 68! And lows in the 30's. Now I can't complain compared to all you girls in the northeast with insane cold, but good grief! Either be spring or winter! I have jonquils coming up ready to bloom and we will be slammed with winter in another week! As some of you know I prefer snow and cold! Lord we have enough months of extreme heat and humidity around here! LOL!!

Posted - Jan 24 2009 : 01:14:49 AM Alee, I can't compare with you on the plains. We had 26 here today but gloomy and overcast without a hint of sun anywhere. I couldn't even see the top of the mountain across the river. I'm sure, though, the heifers we got last month in Hobson think they are in the tropics compared to MT. Stay warm! Cindy

Posted - Jan 23 2009 : 10:07:21 AM That false spring even had my grass confused there! It was growing and now it is going to be forced back into hibernation.
But I think it is time to start the spring seeds!

Posted - Jan 23 2009 : 09:07:07 AM I just checked the temp on the newspapers site it is 3 degrees right now! The weatherman this morning is saying it will not be much warmer today. OK were did that 50 degrees and sunshine go? Does it just disappear? OK so it is not spring yet and we are still in the middle of WINTER but we need a little warmth here PLEASE!
I'm with you Alee spring can't come to soon. Maybe the ground hog won't see his shadow next month. HA!

Posted - Jan 23 2009 : 07:58:53 AM And the temperature is still falling. 1 degree and more snow. That false spring really makes this weather even more disappointing!
