I just went to Aberdeen to get my new prescriptions filled (20 miles away) and between the time that I went there and on my way back, (about an hour) the flooding had gotten so bad they had closed down the road. The rain is incessant and with our recent heavy snow, the rivers can't hold it, plus all the standing ground water. We went through this last year and a lot of people lost their farms and homes. Please pray that the rain stops soon and the water goes down. Last year my son and dil were trapped on top of a loafing shed when the water rose while they were rescuing their horses. They had to be rescued by the National Guard. Please Lord don't let it get that bad again!

It is really bad from Woodland all the way up. I-5 is going to be closed until Monday for about 20 miles because it is under water. This is the same area where all the bad floods were last year. Our Farmgirls in that area may need help again.

Well, I know one thing - your daughter and your folks are probably going to be home until the water goes down! DH is having to go all the way to Shelton and back to Olympia to go to work in the morning - it's the only way out of town.

Ahhh! When I heard about the flooding, I thought must be Chehalis, as it always floods. My folks are in Elma and my daughter is in Aberdeen. Guess its time to call my mom! Stay dry Sherri. You do know how to swim, right?

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

You've see the sign!! =) hahah Hah... sometimes that is just plain bunk! We have had snow, fog, rain, winds, hail, etc. Now we just have LOTS of standing water. The guys went filled over 1000 sand bags this afternoon to help with our town and to give to our neighboring towns. My husbands work was evacuated and he doesn't know if he is even going in tomorrow because 1/2 of Fife has been asked to leave for higher ground!

My prayers are with you and our area. They have evacuated nearby towns, closed roads, etc. We are doing ok in our town because we are just high enough to be our own little island! Lot's of local flooding, but at least I don't really have to worry too much about the rivers at my house. But my goodnes, having to go out and about--- yikes... it's scary! Be careful Sherri!!
