Sherri, We had a cabin in Northern Mn and kept canned goods there all year. In our experience the cans never exploded but the contents would be quite mushy inside--edible but mushy. Jim will eat anything and he ate these. Anything in a bottle is another story. We learned only to keep cans over winter.JoAnn

We've had nasty cold weather here too. Isn't it funny that we are more and more "relieved" when the the weather gets closer to or above zero?

I think the cold weather keeps the riff-raff out. LOL!

I'll bet the canned food stored in the cabin is frozen in the can - even with lots of insulation and double pane windows. What do you think will happen to it? Do you think the cans will explode?

I think the high today was a boiling 9 degrees! LOL We are down to 4 degrees and it is going to get colder every hour from here on out. Tomorrow will be a little warmer.

I can tell it is cold because my dog- even though she is inside, is covering her nose up with her tail when she is laying down!

I agree Alee it is warmer today. What was it yesterday for the high -9 degree's? The day before I think the high was about -13. As long as the house is warm or the car is warmed up I can manage.
