I just finished my chores in the snow! First day of Dec. Wow! The goats are going crazy, they don't like it. The calves are so cute, kicking up their heels and playing. I actually had to wake the pigs up! They were all cozy in their "beds". It's not really cold, but still muddy from all the rain we've had. This will be a mess soon. But oh so pretty! And SO quiet, too. That's what I like about snow, it is so quiet.

Is it snowing anywhere else in Ga?

Kris, My relatives are the Ledfords, but most of them have moved from there now except for one. No, we didn't get the chicken house finished, my sons helped my aunt put up her Christmas lights instead. She is a widow so I felt that was more important. The chickens will be okay for a while longer I hope.

Oh, and yes I know where Crab Orchard is, we are in the valley below the Plateau.

OMG!! You actually know of Ozone, TN!! You're like the fourth person who knows where it is. And you've been to the falls, too. Wow. Every time I say Ozone people think I'm crazy.

Yes, we've been to the falls. It is so beautiful there. And I guess you know where Crab Orchard is too? Who are the relatives? My husband probably knows them. Now wouldn't that really be something if you were related. A lot of his family still lives around there. Sherrills mostly.

Hope you get the chicken house addition done today. It's a bright sunshiny day here, too. But freezing now. I'm waiting a little bit to milk the goats and they aren't liking to wait. Too bad.

Have a great day! Kris

Kris, What a small world. I live outside of Rockwood and I have relatives that live in Ozone. Have you ever seen the falls there? Beautiful! It was sunny here also and will be a nice day today, hoping to get an addition built for my chicken house.

Carla, it just snowed off and on all day. Sometimes the grass was white. Then it'd clear up and a little while later it'd start up again. Today it's been sunny and beautiful ALL day!!! I hope it dries up all this mud here.

Did you say you're in Roane Co? My MIL lived in Ozone on the Cumberland Plateau. In between Crossville and Rockwood. She got snow and ice all winter there. Are you anywhere near there?

On the news yesterday morning, Monteagle Mt. was covered, too. But I live in between Lookout and Pigeon Mts. in Chattanooga Valley about 25 miles N. of the Tn. line outside of Chatt. The schools were all delayed around here for 2 hours. It's so silly. But alot of kds live on the mountain and can't get down, so everyone gets a break.

I am definitely in the holiday spirit with today's 5+ inches of snow. I do wish it would quit though, we've shoveled the driveway twice & it's covered in snow again. I'm so glad I got my outside Christmas lights up before the storm hit! I put up my inside decorations yesterday. Wednesday I'll do the tree, they're calling for more snow that day! I hope everyone gets all the snow they want!

I wished for a white Thanksgiving but no luck. I will try for Christmas. It is only a little over 3 weeks away.

It is here near Chicago - we're up for 6" between last night and tomorrow night... It is so beautiful, like a thick white blanket. The kids are psyched because that means they can go sledding down our driveway!
