We are already seeing a change to color on some of the trees.

Just a smidgen but enough to remind us that it's too early for the burst of Fall colors.

The nurseries are putting out mums ---- rows upon rows of beautiful color.

Denise, Where abouts in Western PA? We go to Marienville in Forest County. We were raised back there but live now in Harrisburg. We go back there 1-2 times per month as our parents are aging.

I just got back from Hayward, WI (north west part of the state) and the sumac trees were red already! Here in IL everything is still green though. I can't wait for autumn though, we live in a wooded hilly area & it is beautiful in fall.

Oh Yes, the trees here in the Adirondacks are starting to change too! Tonight it is going to be around 40 degrees too. When the nights get real cold the trees start to turn fast!

Last year, we vacationed in Vermont to see the change in colors. Beautiful and breath-taking!

We drove from the Philadelphia area up to Monroe, NY this weekend and I noticed that many trees are starting to look different. They haven't started to turn colors yet, but some are beginning to lose that healthy deep green color, as if they're anticipating the color changes to come. I commented to my husband that it looks like the trees are feeling tired and are beginning to think about a long winter's rest.

The swamp maples around here are starting to show a little color, I hope they don't turn too fast. Fall is such a beautiful season, I like to just drive down all the backroads with the tunnels of trees when they really start to turn. That is my ides aof heaven, just being out there with all that color.

The trees here aren't changing yet but the morning air just feels like Fall. I even turned the heat on in the car this morning. I'm excited - I love Fall!

Yes! We were traveling from central to western PA this weekend and couldn't believe how many trees were starting to color! Such a reality check!
