Wow - I just read through this thread from beginning to end, and it is so neat to see the difference in weather all over the country! Today it is raining, a soft rain, thank goodness. My garden will like that. We have had several days now of upper 80's and low 90's, and I am glad for a cooler day. Going to the beach this week-end, so I hope for sun and a nice breeze.

I was inside with Charlie all day. Other than taking the dog out for her "business", I missed the hot sun today. I will get out tomorrow as I need something to pick me up.

You crack me up! All that talk about floating the river really got me looking at the calendar to plan a trip to the river! Maybe Junction, they have a great State park to camp at and float...then there is always the Frio! My favorite!!

I swear Jessica- we must have been separated at birth!!! When we buy our first house, we are putting in a pool. I would like to have one that has little seat on the shallow end and put a shade over half so I could literally live in there all year round.

Not Nuts Heather, you enjoy that heat girl! ha! I went to the park and sat in the shade and watched my pre-schooler play in the sandbox! I was wishing for a nice pool! ...and maybe a fruity drink with an umbrella stcking out of it!! (:

Sounds Great!! I have some family that live there. My cousin runs a little shop, she sells custom shirts, shorts etc. to the college girls there. Can't remember the name of it right now...sleep deprived! But,if I think of it I'll tell ya! I LOVE to float the river...ahhhh nothing better!!

Phew! It was over 92 degrees today. I think the Pacific Northwest went from winter to summer with only a brief kiss towards Spring. :( I am kindof bummed that there weren't more sweet spring days to enjoy, however this summer looks like it is going to be amazing! Guess it is time to drag out the barbecue!

I like the long summers that Texas has. Heather, you get more shade from all the trees and it is so nice and green down your way! I love the Fredricksburg area the best! Here in Miles, which is close to San Angelo, it is pretty flat and dry! But, I have to say I'll take it over West Texas (like Odessa area) anyday!! That is like living in the Sahara!! Ha!

It's been about 104 for the last 3 days here in the No. Calif, Mendocino County inland area. And that's way too hot for May or any other time. My Iris & roses were looking so beautiful, but now are burnt to a crisp!! It's supposed to cool down by Tuesday, then maybe I can get out & plant my MoonVines, Hollyhocks, 4 o'clocks, zinnias & veggies. Boy, do I like the cooler weather!

It isn't that hot here today, but supposed to be in the 90's and tomorrow a bit warmer. Then the middle of next week it is supposed to be in the high 60's. Go figure. I'm trying to get the rest of my garden planted and think maybe it will end up in the flower bed because I'm running out of garden room.

I think I am the only one who loves the heat of Texas!! But when you have lived in 30-50 below and almost freezing to death, I guess it is all relative... : )

I have a hard time with cold, especially with my back.

Sunny 80's weekend. Now to play catch-up with the weeds. Where did they all come from so suddenly? Hope you're all doing well.

See, posted about hitting 100 and got rain! yay! My garden will get a well deserved drink. It is rare to get a nice rain without all the harsh, wind, hail, and threat of tornandoes:( I will take a nice rain anyday!

Variety! My goodness. I've got the heater on this morning. I don't know the temp, but my flannel shirt is a must. I'll need to jacket up to go out dandelion picking, if they open. I think they don't like this sudden cold wind either. (time to start a new batch of dandelion wine). Sit back and have a lemonade for me!

We make a difference.

I'm SO glad I don't live in Texas ;) I truly love these lush, green, cool springs we have in the east.

Sounds like you're in for a hot summer!!!
