(& I owe it all to Joann) I too saw a little Hummie today....I had put my blooming geraniums out on the balcony and I guess the little hummie spotted the bright colors of the flowers...it was sooo wonderful to see this little hummie, ok, so maybe Spring really is around the corner...Thanx Joann for sending your little Hummie my way!

I'll send you some of my fiesty little hummers! You can barely go outside without getting a fly-by buzzing. I guess they are all up here nesting now. I probably have 20 or so at any given time, possibly more. I need a five gallon feeder!!

Small world! My resident Hummer decided to make a patrol of the front yard while Bo and I were sitting on the front porch with a friend. He just flitted from one small branch to another. Usually he chases away the little sparrows, finches, and chickadees, but today they weren't around. Guess he was just eavesdropping.

Awe, I have not seen one since last week, but I put my geraniums out on the balcony in hopes the vivid colors will attract them.
I love Hummies, we use to get about a dozen plus at our feedes back in Calif. It was fun to watch one chase off another from the feeder and then a 3rd one would sneak into the vacant straw & feed...they can be very territorial for such little critters, guess it's the 'Napoleon Complex'...hahaha!

Also thanks to everyone who brought things to share for the weekend. It was great fun.To stay on topic, the hummingird is still sipping the nectar. I think it's a caliope. JoAnn

Your welcome Grace. Of course I haven't seen ours since the first buzzing of our heads: ) They usually send scouts up first to check things out. JoAnn
