Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 05:39:35 AM This week was a glimtz of Spring. Most of the 3 inches of ice on the driveway melted. The 10 foot snow drifts became a bit smaller, the ground became visible. The weather was in the forties and the sun was shining. The cat was chasing the red squirrels, I even saw a Bald Eagle fly over my house yesterday. This morning grey skies, the ground is white again and even the cat is refusing to get out of bed. As a matter of fact he has his paws over his eyes. It looks like a white Easter is in our future. I guess I put my sunglasses on and pretend I'm somewhere warm.

Posted - Mar 23 2008 : 10:09:39 PM I can relate, I had grass peeking through in some spots, and now we have at least six inches, maybe more.
I let the dog out yesterday morning, and I swear he did a double take. But, he is a snow baby, so he was out rolling in it within seconds.

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 7:13:06 PM I was going to complain about the little bit of snow we got today, but my "Windy Pines" cousin, Michele just sent me pictures from her farm today. She lives in Bruce, WI and it looks like a winter wonderland there! So much for spring in the Midwest! We're suppose to get snow on and off for the next days here in the Chicago land area. I really hope March turns into a lamb soon!

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 10:05:51 AM It's all yours Jo come get it. PLEASE!! Yesterday I hung out all my quits and had my windows open to get rid of the nasty germs hibernating in the house. Today it's a white out! But what's a person to do but make a snowman and some snow angels to go with him. Going out to shovel and play. I know come the dog days of hot August I will look back at todays pics and wish I was back in the snow. Not! Sunscreen in one hand snow brush in the other.

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 07:25:57 AM I fell down twice in one day in my driveway last week, my arthritic knees don'e appreciate it, A few days ago it was lovely, warm , sunny , just a little breeze so my daughter and I went to the beach to get some rocks for the garden . We had a great time just enjoying the fresh air and walking on the beach. Yesterday, after two days of howling winds we got, first snow, then freezing rain, then more snow. I am so longing for this to be done with. I almost got stuck in the mud inmy driveway which is a sure sign of spring, but I wish it would get moving! Today the wind is howling but the sun is out so I'm just going to enjoy that! Keep warm karin
