Posted - Feb 17 2008 : 05:40:27 AM Overnight we got a half an inch of freezing rain and my husband barely made it home from work. He said it was the worst stuff he's ever drove in. Today we are supposed to get 5-9 inches of snow, possible up to a foot. I'm just thankful we have some food in the house and we are stocked up on dog food and feed for the animals. Sullivan is getting sick and has been running a temperature, so I hope we can keep that under control. My husband thinks we won't be able to get out for several days. |

Posted - Feb 17 2008 : 4:34:49 PM It's hard to tell how much snow we got because we had pretty heavy winds and there are some new 6 foot drifts out there. I only saw one vehicle go by on our road today, and that was this morning- no one since then. Dawn- I hope you don't get our storm!
Sullivan still has a fever today and is crabby. I hope he doesn't get any worse, because I don't know how we would get him to the doctor. Hopefully Tate doesn't get it, he has seizures whenever he gets a fever.
Anyone else ready for spring? |

Posted - Feb 17 2008 : 12:15:30 PM They are calling for us to get freezing rain tonight. We had beautiful sunshine just a little bit ago, then all of a sudden it started to thunder and hale came down like crazy. A few minutes of rain and that's been it so far. I really hope we don't get the freezing rain you had Heather or for that matter the snow! I hope you have everything you need to cocoon for awhile!

Posted - Feb 17 2008 : 06:35:24 AM Sounds like you're pretty well prepared. Do you also have plenty of batteries/candles in case power goes out? What about water if your pipes freeze?
