Leslie Anne, That's an awesome photo of that tornado..funny how they come in so many different shapes and sizes.

Thanks so much for so many checking on one another through this aweful storm. And it's not even the beginning of spring storms yet. Oh, what I'd give for a basement!!

Stephanie - I am so glad that you are ok. I've been through a couple of tornadoes and they are so scary. I've been watching the news and the devastation is horrible.

Stephanie, glad you're okay... thanks for the pics, they really show it like is... I've been way too close to a tornado too many times in my life... I posted a pic of one on this thread about 3 years ago - http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=655 - hope it still shows up for everybody...

Yep, the pictures are just the way it happened..it went from that light cloudy sky to like midnight in less than 5 minutes...I ran like hell after that last photo because I could no longer see anything and all I could hear was the classic sound of a freight train coming..

The guy that lives upstairs from me was on his front balcony watching trees fly through the air.. I watched the sky turn yellow, green, orange, red and then a sick brown color...I couldn't capture those images because it was happening so fast.

Thanks for your concern...I know there are lots of others out there that were in the path of these storms. 6 tornados touched down in my area!

Stephanie....those pictures are incredible. So amazing how fast it can move in. I'm so glad you're okay.
I've been thinking about all the gals in that area....I pray all is well today with everyone. It is so tragic to hear of the estimated 31 deaths.

Blessings

Hoping you all are OK...one touched down in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky (Central and West of the state), but there is no information about the severity. Hoping EVERYONE is alright everywhere!

Hey Y'all,

Here's the link to the photos that I captured before running like hell. It's a slideshow of the tornado developing..this spanned about 5 minutes. It passed within a 1/4 of a mile of us

http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i42/queenofdreamsz/Tornado/?albumview=slideshow&direction=reverse

More is on the way as I'm posting this...still the sounds of sirens all around us..an 18 wheel truck was blown off I-55 into a distribution center and lots of those are gone..an apartment complex is on fire..from that area to the street corner I can look out to is closed off due to destruction....I guess it's a blessing that I can't see it. I've got a hallway closet full of my vintage chenille bedspreads and that's what we will dive into if it comes our way again.

Thanks for the prayers for safety..this is going to go on all night.

Stephanie
