Posted - Nov 29 2007 : 3:30:10 PM A wild, wintery night in Ontario--some places have roads closed due to the blowing snow and poor visibility. It's very windy, which is picking up water from Georgian Bay and dumping snow in squalls. Sounds like the makings of a snow day tomorrow...

Posted - Dec 01 2007 : 07:06:12 AM It's -18 Celsius this morning (0 Fahrenheit), and we had major squalls yesterday (snowing sideways!). The sun is out right now, but we're bracing for round 2--tomorrow is supposed to be heavy snow then changing over to ice pellets and possibly rain late in the day. I don't like it when we get the ice and rain--wish it would just stay cold and snow, it's much easier to deal with. My daughter was hoping to go Christmas shopping tomorrow, so she's disappointed this morning, I told her we can't go if it's really bad (half hour drive in good weather).
I just feel like staying in and baking...

Posted - Nov 30 2007 : 8:14:50 PM Here in Northern Wisconsin, the high temperature today was about 7 degrees, with a brisk wind. Too cold! They are predicting a snow storm for tomorrow night... 8 to 12 inches. Looks like winter is officially here.

Posted - Nov 29 2007 : 7:02:27 PM Brrr, that's sounds nasty! We have some chilly winds here in the Chicago land area, but nothing like you're getting. Thank goodness for that! Stay warm & safe in your homes until the nasty storm passes! Enjoy tomorrow's snow day!
