ok so it wasnt hail honey, it was freezing rain cause it looks different and cause when i turned on the windshield wipers a layer of ice came off the windshield and hail doesnt do that. when they say freezing rain on the news gals and not to go out dont cause it freezes to the road and makes an icy mess. that is one condition we try not to drive in.

I can top that! In the 38 years that I lived in Thousand Oaks(Newbury Park & Moorpark) Calif., it snowed twice! yep, we had snow in So CAL! but it melted off w/in a few hours.
We do experience (there)an occassional freeze in fact we had a bad one this past Spring and it was devastating to our agriculture community as we grow, strawberries, citrus & avacados not to mention in the Ventura County area there are a large number of floral/greenery growers that sell their plants through smaller Nurserys as well Home Depot/Lowes etc. It did a lot of damage to that industry.
Hey Amanda, yesterday we has a very light dusting of snow-wanna be.....

Marcia, I am not really too partial to any color,I would LOVE some mittens, thank you. I got your pillow cases and LOVE them, but I am keeping them in the plastic until I get MY house. Then they will go on my bed.Until then I am packing those purty things away.Thank you again SO much. My husband was even impressed.
Teresa, we DID have hail on occasion the valley, not often but some times. It looks pretty cold outside........

Katmom and Amanda,
My DIL is a CA girl too. Born and raised in LA I believe. Her first winter in Washington my son brought her home for Thanksgiving. One afternoon he took her for a drive toward the mountains...from our house it's about a 10-15 minute drive....because she wanted to see snow. When they got back from their drive he came into the house but she wasn't with him. He said she was outside running back and forth in the yard because it was snowing. It was really frost fog but he didn't have the heart to tell her.

What's your favorite color Amanda? I'll knit you some mittens. I think you're gonna need 'em.
Lavendar fields dreamer Posted - Nov 08 2007 : 08:13:38 AM
LOL just cause they say snow doesnt mean that you will see it manda but we might see it up here cause we are higher up than you and the city usually stays warmer. blah blah blah.....

manda unfortunately if your looking for a deal burlington isnt the place to look for a cheap good coat. if ya want one that will really keep you warm i suggest going to rei its kitty corner from your tacobell or go to the mall and price compare cause you can usually get one for a good deal in the next little while(early christmas sales). everything goes on clearance in the beginning of january but i dont think you can wait for that.

grace, went and checked out the new walmart this evening and yeah bummer about the craft section but i only had to drive for five minutes to get there wooo-hooo. now i am rooting for a target love my target.

Hey you two,,,,Jamba Juice good!!!!!!yum!

I am hoping that B.F. store does not close, 'cause I love it! Why on earth would they build a BiMart right around the corner from B.F., not nice!

Ok, the Wally World (wal-mart in Airway Heights) opened today, we drove buy, circled back & checked it out.
The bummer, it has a small craft section but no fabric section. But that's ok, 'cause I love B.F.'s fabric department.

Amanda, get yourself a warm coat, a really warm coat. I am lucky in that I had several before coming up here. But I did buy a light windbreaker to wear over my sweaters.

So, are we ready for the snow???? My hubby just bought a used ride-on lawnmower/snow plow. He is so excited, & can hardly wait for the 1st snow to use it...the man is nuts! lol! oh well, he can go plow, I'll hang out in my craft room turn on some Dean Martin music & sew.

Girls Scouts honor , I will call you for a Jamba date.
I want to see that fabric.... what quilt store did you find? is it the one way up on Division?
Have you been over to the Ben Franklin in Cheney?
Gotta go, heading to the P.O. & then over to the Nursery to do more wood cutting & primer painting.
