Oh wowzer, what lovely weather we had here today in Spokane Washington.
My DH & I help out at a local Garden Nursery and today was Pumpkin Patch day. And what a perfect day it was for us all!.
I just fell in love with Washington all over again.
I know it will be short lived and the weather will grow cold again soon, but none the less, days like today get me so very motivated to go outside and play!

OK,, update on the weather in Spokane (actually Medical Lake/Airway Heights)
Mind you, I still love it here, but boy oh boy, next time I will pay heed to the weatherman!
As some of you know my DH, DD & I have been volunteering our time to a local (Garden) Nursey.
This past Saturday was our day to host a facility from Medical Lake that houses & takes care of Mentaly Challenged Adults. Aside of it being a somewhat busy day for us, and having these dear Adults, it rained &&& "Hailed" several times and the people still kept coming! Toward the end the weather just wasn't playing fair & we had to round up the mini horse, & goats, I must have smelled aweful, have ya ever carried wet goats back to their barn w/a mini horse in tow?
But we all had fun & we made the best of it. I must have painted a gazillion spiders, bugs & pumpkins on little kiddie faces & some adult faces too! (yes I still smelled like a wet goat) But the best part was when the "special adults" came through, oh wow, it was just heart warming to be a "moment" in their lives. Some were not awear of the goings on, but there were a couple who were so delighted & it showed. Yes these dear people for what ever reason may only have the mental capabilities as that of a 2 year old, but they are so loving and I am so greatful to have been there even if it was just for a brief hour in their lives. And as for the staff from the care facility, they are the 'cat's meow', you could tell they love their "special" friends. I am so thankful for them and their love & endless energy!. It takes a very special kind of person to work w/the mentaly challenged and yet so rewarding.
Sorry to babble on, but it was such a wonderful day & I had to share.

Wowzer, did we ever get a magnificant Rainbow yesterday evening.
And although it did sprinkle on & off today, it's still lovely.
It's nearly 6pm the sun is setting as I type away. I am looking
out the office window. Usually between 6-7:30pm the dear come out
to graze across the road. I so loving watching them.
Yes I know that they probablly will come graze on my tulips next
Spring, but that's ok, 'cause I planted enough to share!

Yep, we got some rain in the wee hours, but not much....
Got my tulip bulbs planted and ready for spring.

yep, sounds like we all had a lovely weekend with fantastic fall weather.

Rene, send some of that "grape harvest" our way,,, hahaha!

In autumn & winter we end Sunday evening with "Gluhwine" ~ translation... warmed spiced wine. Yummy on a cold day with desserts like an applt torte or other fruit pastrie
.

Grace,
I am in Central Wa. (Prosser) and it is beautiful here as well.... we have the hint of Grapes in the air as we are in "grape harvest", which just adds to the out door experience.....

Grace and Carol Sue -- we had gorgeous weather on the west side of the state too! It started out very gray and foggy but then the sun came out. It was about 65 degrees and a perfect Fall day. Tomorrow is supposed to be 70 and sunny! We will not have many more sunny days so I'm going to enjoy it!
