Oh my the chance of frost tonight. I don't know if it will affect us or not, but will have to spend the day outside. Picking tomatoes, cantaloupe, peppers, and anything else that I want to save. Oh ya, can't forget the herbs. It all needs to get done anyways, so I guess I have the incentive to get moving! Have carrots and potatoes that need digging too.

The trees are starting to change, and some are falling. Though I wonder how much is from the dry weather we have been having.

My tomatoes have slowed down a bit since the cool weather came along. Frost isn't a worry yet, so I should be able to have enough to eat each. day. Glad to hear you were able to get most of yours in. Will you be able to cover what's left so they don't get zapped? Have your trees started to change colors yet?

Now they are forecasting a freeze for Friday night/Saturday morning. This one sounds a bit more for sure. Unless it clouds up. Will have to check for more tomatoes. Did you get your tomatoes picked Dawn?

We finally got autumn here, southwest of Chicago, this week! I hated the summer weather we had too. Now I can finally go out and work in the yard without melting! I hope the trees start to put on their fall show. We haven't come close to freezing yet.But our 50 degree nights make for good sleeping!

Kathy, my sister used to live real close to where they have that rally. Hope you husband has a good time, and brought enough warm clothing. I will take this cool weather any day, over the hot and humid stuff we had this summer.

I had a dream it started snowing here in the middle of the night. Are we all ready for cool weather or what? :-)

Hey Michelle, my husband left this morning to ride his motorcycle up to a rally in Tomahawk, WI. He'll be camping there with some friends from tonight through Sunday. I looked at your weather, and I think he's going to freeeeezzeeee!! Looks like a low of 30 degrees and chance of rain tomorrow night and Friday night. I wonder if there might not be just a few little flurries in the air too???

Unfortunately, he'll probably come home sick & miserabley cold. He's been looking forward to this trip too. So, think warm thoughts up there for just a few days more!!

gosh, I never realized how cool it becomes in Minnesota and how early it comes, we're still warm here. The storms are beginning to pile in, when the interior of Alaska begins to cool off, the highs move off to the east and then the lows come in. We had 2000 miles of lows of to the pacific west. All the way to Japan, so the rain and wind is just barrelling down on us. It won't really change too much until the equinox comes. We could have snow here in three weeks though! It changes overnight. jo

Oh my it is 32.3 right now at 6:49 am. Close that is for sure. We live about halfway between Eau Claire, and Hayward . So we are not that far north. I did get everything picked I needed too yesterday. I usually end up hoping for a freeze, to slow down the work load!
