Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the upper 90's with hummidity so high it will feel like 105-110. They have issued a heat advisory. I'm staying indoors with the air on and ice cold pepsi's to cool me off. At this time I am very glad I don't have a farm to take care of. But then I guess you have to get up really early to beat the heat.

you know what, i miss the heat and humidity from Tennessee... it always meant thunderstorms and summer rain. This summers been so dry in Idaho I'd give up all those 78 degree afternoons for one good storm.

Hot here in Richmond VA too. It is supposed to be 97 degrees today....with a heat index of 110 degrees. There are heat stroke and sun stroke warnings out for our area. I keep telling the girls it is even too hot to go swimming. The sun would bake their heads and burn them through a 50 sunscreen. Horrible heat here in the South. I'm a northern girl by birth, so this is NOT my kind of weather. Autumn, I'll say some prayers for your dear hubby in those hot attics..........hope he is hydrating well.

I am so sorry that you gals are suffering so with the heat and humidity. I talked to my sister in IL last night and she said it was so bad you could hardly get your breath. Please take care and if you have an air conditioner please use it. Prays and hugs to you all!

Golly, today was 102 in Farmville, VA! I had to get a window unit down from the attic by myself...that was real fun! The Thermometer in the kitchen said 91 and I just couldn't take it anymore. My poor horses are sweating while they are grazing, so I hosed them down tonight and they were ooh so happy.

Thank God our job lastweek on a 40 foot tall brick building is done being painted.

I am torn as to whether or not I should be watering my garden. I use raised beds, so the water would be very contained, but our well is not very deep, and the pump is already pulling up sediment *imagine*mouthful of red water while brushing teeth* It only seems to do this when we dont get enough rain. My tomato plants are five feet tall, and I just couldn't bear to see them shrivel...

We should all pray for rain. at this point I wouldnt even mind a small tropical storm for a few days.

Hey girls-
The heat is bad here too.
94 and air so thick with humidity you feel like you're swimming when ya step
out. Poor hubby- works as a phone technician-climbing poles, in attics, and everywhere uncomfortable!! Hard on an "older"guy!
Pray for him!(like maybe a cloud or something) :)

Girls -- take care in that kind of heat! I remember that humidity well from growing up in the Midwest!

We've got the same forecast here today, Janet. It's been above ninety for close to a week with no end in sight. And drought conditions, too.
