The AC guy called last Tuesday and said he'd call before he came on Monday to be sure we were ready. We rushed around and hired someone to do the dirt work & got it done on Thursday. Monday came and no call, no A/C guy. He's famous in our area for doing fantastic work but being a bit hard to get to your house unless it's an emergency. He did our wood furnace and did a wonderful job. ANyway, dh called him Tuesday and he said he'd try to be here this week, Friday maybe. Well, it's over 90, I have no idea what the humidity is (don't really want to know, to tell you the truth), and it's the first day there hasn't been a breeze of any kind. If I knew it was my fat melting, I wouldn't mind , but something tells me I'm not that lucky!

So those of you with working AC, say a prayer of thanks today.

Patti, girl, do I feel for you! I positively MELT in hot weather, can't tolerate it, need to be in an air-conditioned room when it gets too hot. Fortunately the weather here has been terrific, although the temps. will climb next week. Wish I could send some cool breezes your way.

So sorry to hear about the heat. I hope things get set right soon. We don't have an AC, and the environment is so different I won't even try to compare what you're going through. I do love a shady spot with my feet in a bucket of icewater and a fan.

We make a difference.

Yeah, I would really like it if hot weather could melt off some bodyweight of mine as well. I would also like scientists to figure out that fat cures cancer so that I could donate several pounds and save some lives! : )

So sorry, Patti. It's at least 90 here. I do relate to the 'no call, no come' thing about so many contractors, too. I'll say a prayer of thanks for my office a/c and a prayer for cool air for you soon!
