Posted - May 08 2007 : 4:02:36 PM Island Greetings!
Although it was a "nuthin' but a big blow" storm, the waves were wildly beautiful here on Hatteras Island yesterday. It was what I call the non-tropical storm. They (the weather people) say it was "the storm that looks and acts like a hurricane, but we can't call it that because:
1-it's not hurricane season until June 1st 2-the water needs to be a little warmer 3-the core is cool, not warm
But it looks and acts like a hurricane..... Go figure!
Pictures are up on my blog, so hold on to your hat!
