Hi everyone! My friend, Blanche (mom2knk), steered me this way.

I'm Kim, a homeschooling mom of 2 wonderful (and very active) boys aged 8 and 16 months and married to my sweet dh for 11 years in June. We live on an acre and a half on the Atlantic coast of Florida, but are in the process of purchasing almost eleven and a half acres in a rural area of Georgia. It will be a couple of years before we can relocate though.

I long to garden. I've tried it here and it's very difficult between all the heat, hurricanes, record rainfall, and lots of other unexpected factors. We have still surviving one valencia orange tree that looks to be making a comeback. I enjoy beachcombing, reading (when I can find the time!), collecting recipes, baking, quilting, and cross stitch.

Hi There Kim!!
So nice to see you've found MJF..
So very much fun..

I have ok luck with some vegies.. Buit your right.. the heat sometimes seems to make it almost not worth trying, doesn't it? I MAKE myself do tomatoes.. & Zuccini.. & sometimes Broccoli & Bussel Sprouts..
Aside from that.. I pretty much stick with the Flora..
Welcome Home Girl!

Hello to fellow Floridian. We live in North Florida only about 30 miles from the Georgia line in Tallahassee. Even here we grow tired of the threat of hurricanes, and I an glad you will be able to relocate in Georgia. Welcome again!

Hello, and welcome, by the way.

I used the name of one of my and my oldest's favorite characters from The Chronicles of Narnia series.
