This is Dalyn from Washington state (Central part). We homescool on a small ranch (11 acres), and raise dairy and meat goats, horses, poultry and sheep are coming this summer. We may try a steer or two as well. There's also the usual assortment of cats and dogs, goldfish and whatever slithery thing the boys have captured
I make cheeses and soaps and love to learn new things. I have always got a new project going on! I can't sew worth beans, but my 14 year old daughter is helping me...she taught herself to sew, knit, crochet, embroider, and you name it. I taught her to cook and ride horses.
We have 3 biological children, and 3 adopted from Africa and one more who is too old to be adopted and not allowed into the country but we promised to be his family and we take care of him long-distance. He lives in an orphanage still right now.
I love my home and family and I love my goats!

Posted - Apr 18 2007 : 8:19:12 PM Dalyn, so nice to meet you. My heart broke when you spoke of the child that was too old. Oh that is sooooo sad. I didn't know there was an age limit. That's crazy! I guess they have their reasons. Sounds like your one busy farmgirl! I look forward to getting to know you. ~~Blessings, Mikki
