Hi Bean....My husband and I started keeping bees last year. My best advice for you is to join a local beekeeper's group. They will mentor you and give you the best advice for your area. There are also classes you can take...check with your local county extension office, and tons of good books! Nancy

Welcome bean,

never had bee's though I could tell you that I heard that by eating honey from local bee's helps people who are extreamly alergic to polins.

Welcome Bean! You might try this... http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=258&SearchTerms=bees or do a search for every combination of words you can think of by clicking on the search button on the top right of your screen. Good luck!
