katmom --
We faired pretty well. Since we are still very much a work in progress there wasn't much to damage. I did bring my newly pruchased tangerine tree in the house for a few weeks. Now it's blooming like crazy. My Clivias got singed around the edges, but I think they'll recover. Everything else was dorment. We've been on the road showing DDs market lambs so much that I hardly have time to even clean up. We got more damage from the winds than the freeze. This weekend we're off to Bakersfield then to Victorville, then off 'til the end or April. I'm taking Easter week off work so I'm hoping to get a handle on things, but veggie planting will be late. My sis and I went around last Sunday looking for berries. Non to be found. Seems the freeze left nothing but sticks, so the growers are waiting until they leaf out again before they sell. Could be April before they arrive. Good thing there almost a weed. They should do fine even that late.

bye for now :)

How's things on your side of town? Did you suffer much from the frost? I lost every avacado on my tree but my Almonds look ok. Not sure yet about my Apricot tree. My Ficus tree is deader than dead.

This past weekend I pruned & weeded like crazy.

Hi Amanda, Welcome to our group. My brother moved about 20years ago from WI to CA. He lives in Orange, not far from Disneyland. Don't know if that's anywhere near you. Looking forward to getting to know you. Join in!
