Posted - Mar 09 2007 : 1:46:20 PM Hi everyone, two of us newest "farmgirls" from the Idaho City "Mountain Farmgirls" chapter are planning to take our wares to this wonderful event (Past Blessings Antique Show) and we just want to let all the other farmgirls in the area know and to please, stop by and say "Hi". Lisa makes the most wonderful gourd crafts, each one completely original and hand crafted, truly works of art. I (Rose/idcityrose) will have handcrafted aprons as well as my "scarecrones" which I make with vintage nightgowns. I will also have some vintage linens, hankies, baby clothes and doilies. If you plan on going please look us up, this is our first venture as "Mountain Farmgirls" and we could use all the support we can find!

Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 12:17:47 PM How wonderful for you to be able to meet Mary Jane and Carol. Sounds like you had such a fantastic time. What about selling your wares? You and your friends are so blessed to be artistic in so many different fields. Can't wait to see your aprons and gourds, etc. when you get the website up and running. Keep up the good works you do for yourself and your town.
Blessings to you all.

Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 07:52:57 AM Well the Past Blessings show is over and the highlight of the show was meeting Mary Jane and Carol. What wonderful, gracious, lovely women they are. Mary Jane is the epitome of beauty in all ways. The country was beautiful and lush farmcountry, everything so green. Coming from the mountains with a very short growing season it was a feast for our eyes. The show was good and Lisa Marie and I enjoyed ourselves very much. It was quite a drive for us and we probably won't make it next year but it was a good experience for us.
We can't wait until Mary Jane comes to visit us so we can have a real visit with her.
We are never alone in the forest of Sisters! We "Mountain Farmgirls" are outstanding in our field! |

We will have other "Mountain Farmgirls" wares with us including an incredible Huckleberry Vinagrette a local woman makes and some of our other Artisan Farmgirls goods including a brillant artist that paints on wooden boxes, metal plates, wooden trays, basically anything she can get her hands on. If any other farmgirls will be there please come introduce yourself to us as we would love to exchange ideas, chapter news or just visit with new friends. Hope to see you all there! Rose
