Hi, Yes I'm not even sure if I'm doing this right but I'll give it a try. I'm a farmgirl transplanted to Southern Indiana from the beautiful sandhills of Nebraska. I have 7 hens whom I dearly love a few cats a big ol mastiff named Maggie 2 boys and 1 husband. I just found MaryJane's magazine in the Tractor Supply store and became instantly hooked. I felt wow more people like me! I am a spinner knitter , painter sewer and am happiest outside feeding things. Glad to find you all. Kel

Hi Kel,
I'm new too. It sounds like we have a lot in common. I love chickens and knitting and would love to learn spinning. I just took my first weaving class. It was wonderful and I can see my self really getting into that when I have more time. Jenny

Hi! I just joined this forum. You posted a note that you grew up near Lewellen, NE. It's a small world because that's near where my husband and I are. Our place is just east of town a few miles on HWY 26. It was nice to hear from you and hope to talk to you again!

Thanks for all the welcomes. I am spinning some silk fiber right now off and on and in between lots of sporting events. I grew up on a ranch and worked on a ranch in Nebraska that had 250,000 acres. I went to agriculteral college but my dad decided he didn't want me to be a ranch hand all my life. So I'm a nurse. My boys are great and are 11 and 14. My mastiff is very tall and so so sweet. We measured her the other night and she is 44 inches high from toe to top of head. I am sitting looking out the window and dreaming of spring.

Welcome Kelly - you will find the ladies here just the best. I love it another spinner! What type of fiber are you working on? I spun today Buffalo. I love mastiff's, I raise Great Pry's. Big dogs are great because you never have to bend over to pet them. We are so glad that you found us and share often.

Welcome!! It's great to have you here, and I look forward to getting to know you.

By the way, I don't know the geography of Indiana very well, but I have a brother-in-law & family in Noblesville. He's a transplant and loves it there!
