Hello ya'll..
I told my mom that sometime in late November I got behind in my housework and I haven't caught up yet. Same time I started reading these stories! Wonderful information and people. When I saw the " What will you give me " and the owl barf I almost died! I would love that yarn though it is beautiful. I love to knit, have had in the past a wonderful organic kitchen garden(unfortunately not where I live now)love to cook and can. I am thoroughly interested in all that ya'll talk about and want to pass on a love of earth and self to my children. I am teaching myself to sew and crochet, I know you all have lots of helpful advice to pass on. My dream is to someday have a working organic farm with a B&B(my husband and I are Chefs by trade). Anyway hopefully this was coherent, I am new to posting, I like to "lurk" morethan post, plus I just got the kids to sleep! Mandi

Welcome, Mandi! Glad you found us. Eatonton is southeast of me, out I-20,towards Milledgeville. (I live just south of Atlanta in Henry Co.) I have been there only once, when my parents first moved here. I don't know too much about it, but this link may help you:

Thanks for the warm welcome! Mima what would you like to know about the South? Originally I am from Atlanta, Georgia moved to Charleston, South Carolina lived there for 14 years and now we are in a unique place Myrtle Beach South Carolina where I have met only one Southerner the rest are all from up North. It's amazing kinda like living in Illinois and meeting only people talking with a Southern accent. Soon we are moving to Eatonton Georgia (if anyone knows it and can give me some info) Anyway I love this site and MJ magazines and book. I just ordered the back issue gift pack and can't wait to get it. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

I live in california, and am interested in the south, anything you could tell me would be great. I have a what will hopefully be an organic garden too, but when I look at all the work every where in this place i get a little overwhelmed! anyways, welcome!
