I'm a long haul truck driver and just love it!! I have wireless internet on my laptop and when I stop in certain truckstops, I can then talk to you!

I do long haul cuz the short hops just drive me nuts. I'm a cowgirl from the get-go and am also former Navy. I'm married to my team driver and we just wander the US.

We live in Oregon. I have a passion for horses and have shown, stood two studs, raised 8 orphan foals, had broodmares (broodies), trail ridden, given lessons, had a training barn till a car accident stopped all that.

Anyway, I'm glad to find this site. I am hauling organic fruit as I type! Anyway, I will be back when I can. It's an on and off sort of thing as I must move to make money!! hehehe... I love my job and it's perfect for us.

Great site!

Happy Trails :-)

You won't believe this but I had to think WHICH interstates I drive going to OH from OR. I have driven them so much that I don't think about them or look at the signs anymore and just couldn't think what highway I was on!! Anywho, I go out on I-80 to I-74 down to Indianpolis and then catch I-70 to Columbus. This last trip I went down to the tip of Texas at Mission. But mainly we run east/west.

You're on!! Lunch sounds good!! We could talk horses till my hubby's eyes glaze over!! hehehe...

Winona, which routes do you take when you're east/west bound? I live kind of between two major ones; we could meet at a restaurant and I could buy you lunch!

I live and breathe horses too!! I had my own training barn for years till a car wreck stopped all that years ago. I can talk horses till I finally notice that the other person has dozed off, so oblivious am I!! I love Appies the best followed by Polish Arabs. But my hubby said he would ride with me if I bought him a Paint...so that's next on the list.

I go thru IL about once a week cuz I mainly run coast to coast. If you want to talk horses, I'm game!!

Welcome, Winona! I'm a horseman too! I have hunters, and Friesians for dressage. I raise a few and train, and mainly walk/talk/eat/sleep/live/breathe horses.

I wish you could bring me some of that organic fruit!!! Welcome to the board!

Hi Winona! And welcome! I have a good friend who is a long haul driver. Do you and your husband own your own cab or do you drive for someone else? My buddy has a Volvo cab, and it's really a comfy ride. He loves doing what he does, too. He just can't seem to make much money, what with the price of gas and repairs to his truck(he also has an open trailer - he hauls mostly cars).
