Posted - Feb 13 2007 : 07:03:16 AM Hi catscharm, Thank you for the welcome! I know Glens Falls, Saratoga and Schenectady quite well. Yes, Glens Falls does have beautiful houses. I used to go to a doctor in Glens Falls many many years ago who had his office in one of those beautiful old houses. I had my very first apartment in Schenectady. It was near the Stockade. Now there's some nice old houses there. We have the planes and helicopters from the base in Saratoga flying over us daily. Saratoga also has beautiful old houses. The main street is the business district and it is so picturesque.

Posted - Feb 12 2007 : 1:53:04 PM Hi there and welcome!! I have an aunt and some more family that lives in/near Clifton Park. My parents live north of Glenns Falls---waaaaaaayyyyy north! My good friend from the Navy is stationed up there and lives near Saratoga. That whole area is probably one of my favorite places I would want to live. My Nanna and Papa (My true inspirations) lived in Schenectady, right in front of the Knoll's water tower. I love Glenns Falls and wish I could live there. I love all the old houses there. |

Posted - Feb 12 2007 : 1:38:42 PM I'm pleased to hear you like my rose tag. I love roses. I want to be remembered by my grandchildren that when they see a rose they'll know I am right beside them and they will pass it on to their children and so on. I am a genealogist (not Professional) and I want to be remembered as thinking of my descendants and hoping they will be proud of their ancestors. I wish I had the power to go back in time to talk with my ancestors bout their hopes and dreams.
