I'm Mary and new to the farmgirl connection. Our family has a small Ohio farm with chickens, honeybees, and goats. In a past life I was a Book Editor, but now I'm a freelance writer, substitute teacher, and I bake bread, rolls, and sweet treats for our town's indoor farmers' market. I'm learning to fiddle, weave, and spin...trying hard to slow down and enjoy every minute. For our family, the simple life is the best life. I'm looking forward to learning and catching up on past posts!

Hi Mary,

Nice to meet you. I understand about your life style and trying to slow down is not in my jeans either!! Right now I work in a small grocery store chain in the deli dept. ... which pays the bills and we have insurance. My hobby job #2 is a vintage decoupage, I cut up old magazine ads from the 1940's to 1960's. I sell at Holiday Baazars, Craft show and Wineries
In about 10 years from now I would like to retire with my husband and move to Montana and open an art and antique mall. I all ready have a name for my future business.... Vintage Artist and Antique Friends.

Good morning Mary and welcome to MJF Farmgirl Connection. I am sure there are some great stories of your life experiences and I am excited to hear about them as they unfold. I am a small city gardener with a dream of few acre farm in the country after I retire in four years. I have been a part of MJF community for three months and enjoy the variety of subjects. Enjoy, have fun and feel free to ask questions and welcome to the community!
