Posted - Jan 18 2007 : 5:30:58 PM Welcome Farrah!! We are neighbors!! I'm in Hebron! There are several of us right around this area but we have yet to meet in person! We should though sometime soon! I just moved here 9 months ago so I know the feeling of finally settling in! Do you knit? If not you should! You have a great yarn shop just off of down town called Sheeps Clothing. I'm taking a class there next month. Great shop!! Welcome again!! Daisy |

Posted - Jan 14 2007 : 07:51:38 AM Greetings, and welcome Farah! I'm one state over in Illinois, and was born and raised a Hoosier. I grew up in Elkhart and then lived for nine years in Bloomington. Indiana is one of the most underrated treasures in the country; it's a beautiful and gracious place.
Welcome to you! |

Posted - Jan 09 2007 : 5:20:26 PM Hello again everyone, thanks for all the warm greetings!Well let me answer a few questions. I just moved to Valparaiso Indiana, its located in the upper Northwest, its about 1 hour or so from Chicago IL.Its a beautiful big-ish city for Indiana.I just bought my first house, and the main reason was the 1 1/4 acres, with massive willow trees.
I plan to make a few gardens.I love cottage/victorian gardens. I can't forget the vegetable garden I'm planning for this Spring. My 4 year old Samantha is in ballet, she is my life. She's super silly, with her jokes, and funny faces she makes.I have been doing some extra at home teacher stuff with her.Its amazing how fast children are capable of learning.
Right now I feel sort of settled in after about 8 months in the new house.I'm so glad to know I have some fellow hoosiers on here, and so many other friendly out of state-ers. I'm probably going to hang out in the garden forum,I need hints about bugs and plants.Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome! Farah
