Posted - Jul 03 2016 : 2:03:39 PM I've been on and off for a while, but need to introduce myself. I became a farm girl when I married my late husband. He was truly a farmer at heart, and I soon learned to love all that signified the values of farm people. I love to garden, even now that I live in town, and am returning to sewing and canning, now that I'm retired. I'm going to dabble this fall with some furniture that was given to me, including a fainting couch....any suggestions welcome! I am visiting my Farm Girl Quilting friend, Angie, so I will be a little slow getting started, but I am looking forward to all the friends I will meet through Farmgirl Connection.

Posted - Jul 22 2016 : 11:33:28 AM Welcome Brenda! It sounds like you and Angie dreamed up plenty of farmgirl type projects when you were together. Hopefully, you're back home in your own nest with sweet memories of a welcoming quilt and jellies to eat.

Posted - Jul 11 2016 : 11:36:12 AM I am grateful to be welcomed so warmly, and have enjoyed my time in FL visiting with Angie (Farmgirlquilting). It is time to head home to IL, so I am hoping I can keep myself organized enough to be able to continue with the wonderful projects already started. I am taking some of Angie's jellies home for me and my family to share, and I will hope to share with her when she comes my way. I see she hasn't posted a picture of the quilt she just put in "my" room, and it is a beauty. I hope she will share that soon. Thank you all for being an encourager...that is so needed in this world today! Have a great day on the farm, and I will check back with you when I'm back in my coop.
