I've been reading posts over the past day and thought now would be a good time to say hi! I'm Victoria and I live in suburban North Texas with my husband and children. We are planning to buy some land in a couple of years so I'm practicing being a farmgirl on my 1/5th of an acre.

We have been able to grow some of our own vegetables and last year I experimented with my first garlic crop. I've also been slowly planting herbs and hope to expand what I have this year.

I love to cook, sew, and almost anything else that is a traditional home art.

Looking forward to getting to know y'all!

Victoria

Hi Victoria,

Welcome. I have about 1/5 of an acre too! I'm always trying to fit more green stuff on it!!! Would like some chickens too. Glad to meet you.

Welcome Victoria. I'm sure you'll love being here. I love gardening and growing my own herbs too. I have a bunch under grow lights here in the basement right now. You'll have fun planning and dreaming what you'll do with the acreage you plan to buy in the future.

Welcome Victoria. How many kids and what are their ages? Me myself have 6, well, really 5 with one son-in-law. I laugh and tell my husband we are the new generation of the Brady Bunch. I really have only 3 kids of my own but I love his kids like they were my own. Makes any sense? Wish you the best on buying your land.
