Hi there - I'm new to this forum. I've had the idea of becoming a member for a while and finally decided to jump aboard.

I live in Washington. I would LOVE to have a farm some day but that is still in the far off future for me. I am a horseback rider (I own one horse) and also like to experiment in my kitchen. My most recent experiment was making homemade bread and butter. It was wonderful!

Anyways, howdy :)

Hello Libby and welcome! Have you thought about getting a merit badge in bread making?? I had this idea since you love experimenting with food and just made some bread. This is one of the merit badges I am working on. Maybe something we can back and forth on and help each other out! Super glad you joined us!

I love the picture of your little red calf. Does he/she have a name?

Thanks everyone:)

I just made plain bread the first time. Then the following times I've added garlic and herbs. Tasted way better!

I ride English, I do jumping. I'm hoping to train horses some day.

I am obviously new and don't know how to post pictures very well!

Welcome Libby, I too live in Washington... Vancouver, WA. I too some day dream of living on a farm or ranch, but in the mean time enjoy making jam, sewing, going to estate sale and working on my decoupage art every chance I get.

Hi Libby, and welcome. Isn't baking bread the best? I think you'll find lots of people here who have the same kinds of interests, hopes and dreams. I'm so happy to meet you!

Happy Day!

Welcome from the Kent, WA area. I live in a subdivision so what I own is my little farm. So glad you look to make things in your kitchen, you'll have a ball! We'd love to see your horse.

HI Libby and welcome to the Farm! Many of us, like myself, don't live on a farm but like Sara says, all you gotta do is embrace your Farmgirl heart!! That homemade bread and butter sounds delicious too. What kind of horseback riding do you do?
