Hi ladies,
I am not a stranger to Mary Janes Farm, but wanted to re-introduce myself because it has been many years since I was last on the forum.
I am Brenda from NW Louisiana. I currently don't have any farm animals as the chickens all died years ago and just never got around to replacing them. I just have a sweet little dog and 3 cats in addition to my family. I have been heavily involved in 4H as a Shooting Sports Archery Instructor, Homeschool Club Leader, Over-All Volunteer and Chaperone. It's so good to be back here again, I have missed y'all.

I would say you certainly do deserve a bit of a drive in the slow lane for a while. I agree with Guineahen, your 4-H work is very important and does change lives. Kudos!

Hi Brenda, and I'm so happy to meet you. I've never been to Louisiana, but always wanted to visit. So much incredible music has come out of your state! Looking forward to getting to know you!

Happy Day!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. :) Yes, 4H does keep a soul busy. I had always wanted to be involved when I was a kid and when my own kids wanted to join I felt like it was my chance too! :P Our club will soon be working at the state fair taking in photography entries in the AgMagic building and running the BB gun contest in the livestock barn. Then we start sign ups for the shooting sports club. Although I have to say that even though it has been fun, I am exhausted and honestly looking forward to slowing down and being able to get in some sewing and learning to make a decent pie and trying my hand at making muscadine as well as mayhaw jellies.

Hi Brenda. I haven't been on here all that long, but long enough that I can say, Welcome back. :) Sounds like your life is pretty full without farm animals. I love the little ones you do have. I have one old dog and seven cats that have been rescued over the years from homelessness and abuse. They are a handful, but I love 'em, and I know you feel the same. Glad you decided to come back to see us.
